Derrick Sueki, DPT, GCPT, OCS, AAOMPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Sueki is the director of Knight Physical Therapy in Garden Grove.
Dr. Derrick Sueki was born and raised in Long Beach, California. He now resides
in Fullerton with his wife, Lynne and their children, Summer and Jake.
Dr. Sueki adds to the Knight Physical Therapy family the clinical and professional
skills gained from local as well as international practice. He has practiced
physical therapy on two continents, Australia and the United States. He was one
of the first therapists in the nation to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy
from the University of Southern California. In addition to this, he was invited to
become one of two physical therapists in the nation to study at the prestigious
University of South Australia where he was awarded a Post Doctorate Certificate in
Physical Therapy with a special emphasis in manual and manipulative therapy.
Dr. Sueki's unique treatment philosophy comes from the blending of acupressure,
physical therapy, manipulative therapy, and Eastern based medicine. He
specializes in geriatric rehabilitation, osteoporosis, sports medicine, neck and
back pain, and post surgical rehabilitation in Orange County. Dr. Sueki commonly
treats the complex patients who have failed with other physical therapy and
chiropractic treatments. Patients come from around the nation and internationally
to be treated by Dr. Sueki and his staff.
Dr. Sueki is currently faculty in the Physical Therapy programs at Mount St. Mary's
College and the University of Southern California. He is one of the physical
therapists for the Professional Beach Volleyball tournaments and a consultant to
the Chapman University Basketball and Volleyball programs. He has also
authored texts in the subject of spinal rehabilitation and general orthopedic
pathology. He also lectures around the southland on the subject of neck and low
back pain.
